Editor's Note
It is located within the bounds of the town of Kepez in the central district of Çanakkale province. It consists of an old lighthouse and a keeper's hut, of which only the foundation remains survive today. It is one of the lighthouses built with the support of Napoleon III after the French engineer Marius Michel proposed, during the Crimean War, the construction of lighthouses at important points along the Ottoman coast. It was registered by the Çanakkale Regional Council for the Conservation of Cultural Property by decision no. 10524 dated 23.10.2024.
