It lies within the village of Akçakeçili in the Ezine district of Çanakkale province. Pieces such as finished and partly finished columns can be observed at the site. Together with the other granite quarry nearby, it is thought to be the source of the materials used in the ancient cities of Alexandria Troas and Neandria.
