This is a covered marketplace, said to be a 17th-century structure, where wooden posts carry the roof. Once a livestock market, the building today houses traditional kavurma (braised-meat), guvec (clay-pot stew) and doner vendors that have operated here since the 1960s and 1970s. Local source.
