According to the inscription above its entrance, the building was commissioned in 1175 AH / 1761-1762 AD by Ahmet Rüşdü Bey. Belonging to the group of wooden-pillared mosques, it was built with stone in the lower part of its walls, mudbrick in the upper part, and timber in the upper covering, the supporting posts and the minaret shaft. Nearly square in plan, it is divided into three aisles perpendicular to the mihrab by four square-sectioned wooden supports, and is covered by a flat wooden ceiling. The wooden ceiling of the prayer hall has recently been renewed, and the portico is roofed with a hipped roof carried on four wooden posts.
