It is located at the Kirse locality within the village of Arikli in the Ayvacik district of Canakkale province. It was created by carving into the bedrock at a water source. The niches on it indicate that the water channels were once covered with lids. The site of the fountain is reached via the remains of an ancient road. Based on pottery fragments datable to the 4th-6th centuries AD found around the structure, along with a piece of a glass goblet, it is thought that the fountain may have been built in the Late Antique-Roman periods.
