Editor's Note
The Latif Han (called Kârvânsaray-ı Latîf by İbn Bîbî, and Gavazera di Casa Jacomi by Pegolotti) stood on the Sivas-Kayseri road. The exact site of this caravanserai, located between Sivas and Gedik, is uncertain. According to Taeschner, it must have been near Eski Apardı (about 30-35 km from Sivas), while Erdmann identified the remains of a han at the Tatlıocak site. Little more is known. The structure is also marked on the Silk Road - Culture Road map prepared by the ÇEKÜL Foundation.
