Editor's Note
Rectangular in plan, a wooden entrance section was later added in front of the arched door on its southern face. The bath consists of the changing room, the warm room, the hot room and the furnace sections. In the changing room there is a dome resting on a drum with a row of arches. The warm room is entered through an arched passage. Its dome is carried on arches, and there are skylights ("elephant eyes") in the dome. The hot room has a star-shaped plan. The hot room consists of six barrel-vaulted sections arranged around a central dome. In the centre is a marble navel stone, and along the walls are marble basins.
