Meyre Çeşmesi

As the Büyük Bürüngüz Meyre Fountain bears no inscription, its exact date of construction cannot be determined, but by comparison with similar examples it is dated to the late 19th or early 20th century. Single-fronted and single-arched, the fountain was built onto the front façade of a house facing the same square as the Yazıcı Fountain. Its niche, designed in the form of an iwan, is covered by a barrel vault, with the vault arch and the niche walls resting directly on the side walls.
