Editor's Note
The Gesi School, built in 1908, holds a special place among the educational buildings of 20th-century Kayseri. The structure is notable for its plain architecture and function-focused design. The school, distinguished by its fine stonework, is owned by the Melikgazi Municipality. Having undergone a comprehensive restoration by the municipality in 2017-2018, the building is planned to be used as a hotel in the future.
