Editor's Note
The registered fountain located at the intersection of Güney and Paşapınar streets in the Gesi neighbourhood of Kayseri's Melikgazi district is dated to the 19th century on the basis of its architectural features and the materials used. As it bears no inscription, its exact date of construction cannot be determined. The structure is built entirely of finely dressed stone. Single-fronted and single-arched, the fountain's segmental round arch rests on capitals set atop circular piers made of monolithic cut stone on either side.
