The Çatalin Underground City is a subterranean settlement whose date of construction cannot be estimated. It lies to the east of the village of Gesi / Kayabağ, in the Değirmenderesi Valley, about 200 metres beyond the Bahçeli (Efkere) Reservoir, on the western wall of the valley. Previously unstudied, this underground city was built across three levels within a narrow area. The structure measures about 26 metres along its northwest-southeast axis and about 13 metres in width. The three levels have a combined structural area of 621 square metres, containing a total of 18 rooms.
