The Chapel of Surp Elia is a small chapel described in Alboyacıyan's 1937 work Hye Gessaria. It stands to the southwest of the village, at the edge of a small plateau, in a position commanding the whole settlement. Alboyacıyan describes it as a place of pilgrimage dedicated to Saint Elias, located at the highest point of the village. Surrounded by ordinary rocks, the chapel appears small and ruined. The main space consists of four walls. Built of stone, the walls are two or three arm-lengths long. The structure is open to the sky from above.
