The exact construction date of the Orta Mahalle Fountain is unknown, as there is no inscription on the structure. Running east to west, the fountain is arranged as a single-faced, single-arched wall fountain with a cistern. Because its rear cistern is enclosed among other buildings, it cannot be described as a whole. The most striking feature of the fountain's design is the round-arched niche on its front facade. This arch, 2.36 meters wide, rests on masonry piers. The southern part of the arch has been incorporated into the eyvan (vaulted recess) added in 1909.
