The historic Cırgalan Han in Kayseri, believed to have been built in the 13th century by Hunat Hatun, wife of the Anatolian Seljuk ruler Alaeddin Keykubad, has fallen into ruin through neglect. The historian Mehmet Çayırdağ says: "The masons' marks on the stones of the caravanserai match exactly those used at the Hunat Mosque. The same masons built both the han and the mosque. It has no inscription, but it is quite clear that it dates to the Seljuk period and is the work of Hunat Hatun. It is not as if it has been completely lost."
