The ancient harbour of Assos is the sea gate of the ancient city below the village of Behram, reaching back to the 9th century BC. Set at the foot of the rocky headland, the harbour linked Assos to the Aegean trade routes. Continuing along the shore today, it recalls the city's old bond with the sea.
