It lies within the boundaries of Kocakoy village in the Ayvacik district of Canakkale province. It is a rectangular-plan mosque built of roughly dressed and rubble stone, with a hipped roof. Although the mosque's entrance landing states that it was built in 1963, it is thought that the date 1154 inscribed on a stone to the right of this area corresponds to AD 1741, and this stone is said to belong to the old mosque. Its minaret bears the date 1970. It was registered as a Cultural Property Requiring Protection (Group 1) by the Directorate of the Canakkale Regional Council for the Conservation of Cultural Heritage by decision no. 11792 of 15 December 2025.
