Editor's Note
The fountain bears traces of Ottoman architecture, but its construction date is unknown. The village was settled and established in the late 19th century when the nomadic Yoruks were brought to a settled way of life, so the fountain may well have been built between 1890 and 1900. Thanks to water-bearing rocks created by the region's geology, it flows with water summer and winter alike.
