Editor's Note
The İnönü House Museum, on Heybeliada island in Istanbul, is a house-museum and was the home of İsmet İnönü, Turkey's second president. Also known as the Mavromatis Mansion, the house was built in the 19th century. The İnönü family began using it as a summer house from 1925, and İsmet İnönü bought it in 1934; its furniture was donated by Atatürk.
