Editor's Note

Located in central Manisa, Carsi neighborhood, Block 263, Parcel 8, on 1303 Street, on the north wall of the Cumhuriyet Bath. The single-faced fountain is 206 cm wide and 302 cm high, with a simple awning placed over it. Because the fountain's face is plastered, the material used cannot be determined. The plaster has been superficially scored to give the appearance of neat cut stone. On the marble panel beside the niche is the inscription "Haci Omer Spil Mountain Highland Drinking Water Cumhuriyet Bath 1963." The fountain must have acquired its present appearance at this date. 12 cm.
