The mint has no inscription, but it is known to have been built during the Saruhanogullari period. Many coins have been found inside the building. We can date it from these coins and from the transitional elements of the dome on its upper floor. There is a coin minted by Ilyas Bey dated AH 764 / AD 1362. In short, the building was constructed before 1362. The mint's last restoration was completed in 2018, and it is said to be used for social purposes. With no comparable example in Anatolian Turkish architecture, this mint is the earliest known example of its plan type.
