The Church of Saint Nino takes its name from the street on which it stands. Carved into a pyramidal rock, the church was built on two levels, with a room added later alongside it. The second level probably served as a refuge. The architecture of the Church of Saint Nino follows a free "Greek cross" plan. The oval top of its central dome has been pierced and covered over with timber. Entry to the church is through a doorway, evidently opened later, in the southern arm of the cross. It has a single apse, which is horseshoe-shaped. As for the church's interior decoration, the dome bears depictions of Christ and the Virgin.
