Editor's Note
A square-shaped funerary tower standing in a field just to the north of the Bingol-Caytepe road. Sources record it as dating from the Akkoyunlu (White Sheep) period. Its outer walls are built of large cut blocks of local stone, with the wall cores filled with river stone bound in lime mortar. The roof is earth-filled and domelike, with a slight sinking and subsidence at the top; it was probably originally pyramid-shaped, built of flat cut stones. The door is on the east wall and has an entrance formed by nested, recessed and projecting mouldings. The inner walls widen in a curve from ceiling to floor.
