Editor's Note
The Arapgir Hankah was built on a rocky slope north of the old Osman Pasha Mosque in the Arapgir district of Malatya, and is dated to the year 1334, the Ilkhanid period. Built over an area of about 216 square metres, the structure reflects the characteristic features of its time in its plan layout and decorative qualities. Notable for the rich carved-stone portal on its north facade, its mihrab adorned with geometric and floral motifs, and its two successive domes, the building is today in ruins.
