Hatuniye Köprüsü

Editor's Note

The inscription of the Hatuniye Bridge has survived to the present day. The bridge was built in 1687. Over time it became largely hidden by a building erected next to it. However, during works carried out under the Stream Rehabilitation Project, the surrounding structures were demolished and the bridge was brought back to light. Spanning the Başhan Stream, the bridge is still used today for pedestrian crossing. Its inscription reads: "O my God, grant Nuh Han a pure heart."
