The Saint Pierre (Komk) Monastery stands on a high hilltop near the Turnalı hamlet in the Sason district of Batman. The monastery bears no inscription, but based on its architectural features and building materials it is thought to have been built in the 5th-6th centuries AD. The complex, consisting of a church, narthex, martyrion and atrium, is largely in ruins. Today the monastery has suffered serious damage from both natural and human causes.
