The Çırtinik Church stands on a commanding hilltop, 200 metres northeast of Dağçatı village in the Sason district of Batman province. Built as a single nave on an east-west axis, the structure consists of a rectangular-plan naos and a semicircular apse. The church, barrel-vaulted on the interior, used clay pipes for acoustic and structural purposes. Built of cut and rubble stone, the structure is today largely in ruins.
