Editor's Note
Beşkonaklar, built by Hacı Sait Efendi (Turfanda), was constructed as five units forming a whole: one house with a belvedere and four houses adjoining it. Because these houses were built by Hacı Sait Efendi (Turfanda) and his four brothers, they are known as "Beşkardeşler" (the Five Brothers). Restoration work on the building began in 2006 and was completed in 2009. Beşkonaklar is open today for use as a museum.
