Editor's Note
The stones of the entrance gate of the Çingene Han, located in Old Malatya and built in the 13th century, were brought here and re-erected in their present location in 1907. The gate measures 4.50 x 4 m and is made entirely of dressed stone. The sides of the gate project outward like towers. The inner side walls of the gate opening are formed with capital-like projections toward its upper part. The gate opening is covered with an arch. A border of decoration runs along the upper part of the arch, and the arch itself is closed off in a vault-like manner.
