Dating from the Ottoman period, the building has a rectangular plan and is made of rubble stone. Its upper covering and dome were later plastered with concrete mortar. It is lit by two windows, which are rectangular. The tomb stands behind the Terlemez Baba Mosque at the end of Bostanci Street in the Seyh Hamid-i Veli Quarter. Terlemez Baba's real name was Emir Ali. The tomb is also known as the Carpici Lodge. Although it was restored in 1990, it only received a tidy appearance. It is a plain, reinforced-concrete tomb with no architectural distinction, covered over and adjoining the mosque.
