Editor's Note
The construction date of the Malik Mahmud Gazi Hankah is not known for certain. Although it is rumored that the building was once used as a mint, the excavations carried out found no evidence confirming this. According to current assessments, the hankah was probably built in the early 13th century, during the Anatolian Seljuk period. Long left in ruins, the building was restored in 2015.
