Editor's Note
This house in the city center stands beside the Ulu River, northeast of the Debbaglar Bridge. According to the inscriptions on it, it was built between 1927 and 1930. It is one of the finer examples of the First National Architecture movement. While modern in appearance, its plan and ornamentation reflect the Neoclassical Turkish style. It rises two stories above a basement.
