Editor's Note
The mosque, which has a square plan and a portico (last congregation place), was built of roughly hewn stone. Originally flat-roofed, the mosque later received a hipped roof covered with traditional Turkish-style tiles. The courtyard is entered through an opening on the west facade, and from there the portico is reached through two round-arched openings. In the portico there are two niches and the mihrab. The prayer hall is entered along an axis with a double, nested arch made up of a pointed arch and a cusped arch. A stone inscription is set between the pointed arch and the cusped arch. The inscription reads AH 1244 / AD.
