The Şeyh Kumari Dervish Lodge and Tomb lies near the village of Kızılören (Kızılviran) in Kayseri's İncesu district, in the same area as the Omuzu Güçlü Lodge. First recorded in archival documents in the tax register of 1570, the lodge appears as the endowment (vakıf) of the Kara Kinise (Church) farmstead and is noted to have been in a ruined state at that time. The same record states that a community of dervishes lived there. Documents dated 1584 show that the agricultural revenues of the farmstead belonged to the lodge, and that the building and its inhabitants were supported by these endowment incomes.
