The Başköy Ancient Wheel Ruts are among the mysterious remains dating to Anatolia's early historical periods. Located to the southeast of Başköy, these formations consist of parallel grooves carved into the natural rock surface. It is thought that these ruts may have formed in antiquity as a result of wheeled vehicles repeatedly passing along the same route.
