Editor's Note
According to the information in its inscription, the Mustafapaşa Great Mosque was built in 1601, though its exact construction date is not precisely known. The Antiquities Register of the central town of the Niğde Sanjak records that the building was commissioned by El-Hac İbrahim. Built using rubble-masonry technique, the mosque has a hipped roof and a rectangular plan. The prayer hall consists of two aisles covered by pointed barrel vaults, while a barrel-vaulted winter space lies on the east side. On the north side of the prayer hall are two independent gallery floors. Inside, a marble mihrab and a stone minbar (pulpit) draw attention.
