Built in 1858, the Üzümlü Church has a square plan with a single apse. Inspired by Seljuk architecture in its construction, it is also thought to have been a monastery church. The church ceiling features a rectangular frame composed of braided-pattern motifs, with a depiction of a cross within the frame. Around the cross are the grape motifs that give the Üzümlü ("With Grapes") Church its name. On either side of the rectangular ceiling frame are depicted six apostles each. In front of the church apse stands a depiction of Saint Simeon, described as the ascetic ordeal of the monk.
