Editor's Note
Its founder was Emir Yayla, also known as Yayla Baba, one of the emirs of the Aydınids. With its plaster relief decorations, brick-laid Turkish triangles, the lobed-arch niches in the arches of its iwan section, and its columns, it contains examples of remarkably rich craftsmanship for its size. The small mosque is today in danger of collapse.
