Founded in 1960 by Prof. Dr. Turhan Baytop within the Faculty of Pharmacy of Istanbul University, this was Turkey's first museum of pharmacy history. A significant part of its collection comes from Baytop's personal archive. It was registered as a private museum in 2017 and officially opened in 2018.
