Editor's Note
The Ottoman Mosque is a late-period structure northeast of the Great Palace in the Hasankeyf Inner Citadel. Rectangular in plan and oriented east–west, the mosque is built of rubble stone and reused (spolia) material. The building consists of two sections, both covered with domes, and a mihrab niche stands in the south wall. The niches around the mihrab, together with the geometrically ornamented rosette and dome decorations, lend the structure a lively character.
