The Şabık Church lies at the western end of the rocky hill south of Hasankeyf, in the Şabık quarter, and is dated to the 4th–5th centuries. The church is rectangular in plan, oriented north–south, with a square main chamber measuring 3.75 × 3.90 m. The round-arched entrance to the west is largely destroyed, and there are three parallel niches together with the apse. Apart from a large cross carved into the rock in the apse niche, there is no other ornament.
