The Asri Mosque stands to the east of Alaeddin Hill and was built in the 1940s as a foundation work of the Republican period. Made of adobe, the building's prayer hall has a transverse rectangular plan. Its roofing is provided by a flat wooden ceiling on the interior and a hipped roof on the exterior. Hand-painted decorative details can be seen on the wooden ceiling. The mosque has no portico for latecomers and has a wooden minaret with a balcony arrangement unique to Konya.
