Editor's Note
Located to the north of an ancient mound known as Alaaddin Hill in Konya, the capital of the Anatolian Seljuk State, the Kiosk of Sultan Kılıçarslan II (Alaaddin) was built between 1155 and 1192 by Kılıçarslan II. In later years it was repaired and enlarged by Kılıçarslan's grandson Alaaddin Keykubad I, taking the name 'Seyran Kiosk'; of this building only a brick wall and a fragment of the base supporting it have survived to the present day.
