The church, which has no inscription, was built in 1842 according to information given by local residents. In the 1950s the narthex on its west side was demolished and the present portico was built. In the courtyard fountain, the small capitals used as seats were probably from the gynaeceum, while the large capital and columns standing on the courtyard ground must originally have been used in the narthex. A minaret was built on the northwest side of this three-nave, vault-roofed, basilica-plan church. The interior is plastered.
