Editor's Note
This mosque stands in the Başpınar neighborhood, formerly known as the İlaldı neighborhood, in the center of the Bor district. Its construction date and patron are disputed, and there are two views on the matter. The first holds that it was built by Karamanoğlu İbrahim Bey II, who also had the Bor Old Bath (1460) built during the Karamanid Beylik period. Since İbrahim Bey II's wife was also named İlaldı Hatun, one view holds that the patron was İlaldı Hatun. The second view holds that it was built by Abdurrahman Pasha, whose name appears in the mosque's construction inscription and who was also the patron of the Rahmaniye Mosque (1747) in central Niğde.
