Near Akalın (Aline) village, the Kaya Mosque is a single-room, square-plan rock-cut mosque east of the Hasankeyf district center. Its entrance is on the west front; inside, there is a mihrab on the south wall and shelf niches on the east and west walls. The mosque's interior is filled with earth and rubble, and it shows both natural and human-caused damage. The structure was carved directly into the bedrock.
