In the village of Almali, a major clash broke out with Abdikendu, one of the men of the kadi of Malatya. In this clash many of Shah Ismail's men were killed and the rest fled. Shah Ismail and those around him crossed the Euphrates River and set out toward Siverek. After this event, his name is never encountered again in the sources.
