The Cevirme Han lies 11 km from Cevirme, within the boundaries of the Kullar district. It stands on the Elbistan-Malatya caravan route and is 10 km from the Kamereddin Han. Owing to its geographical position and its location at a highly strategic point in Anatolia, Kahramanmaras was an important city for the Anatolian Seljuks. Researchers believe that many architectural works were built here by the Seljuks, but all have been lost. Even so, a few inns, including this one, have survived to the present.
