Üçler Cemetery stretches directly opposite the Mevlana Tomb in Konya's Karatay district, taking its name from three graves by the entrance on the Mevlana Museum side, thought to belong to Khorasan dervishes who came to Anatolia before the Battle of Manzikert. When the cemetery was first opened is unknown, but its Seljuk graves show it was already in use in that period. A martyrs' section lies on the eastern side, and the cemetery remains a quiet part of the city's landscape of visitation.
