Editor's Note
Little is known about the city's history. The town was abandoned after the Roman period. The earliest document concerning the city is an inscription dated 113 BCE erected in honor of an official from the province of Asia, which reads 'the People of Prostanna in Pisidia.' The city's acropolis stands on a low hill south of Eğirdir Sivrisi. There are walls on both this hill and on Sivri, and the towers along the walls can be identified in places. Within the walls on the smaller hill are the foundations of a square building, as well as stylobate blocks that may have belonged to a circular tholos.
