It was built in the name of Hızır Bey, the son and successor of Feleküddin Dündar Bey, the founder of the Hamidids, after his father's death. Since Hızır Bey came to the throne around 728 AH (1325 CE), this must be the oldest mosque in Isparta. The mosque is small; its four walls are stone, its interior is timber, its roof is an earthen flat roof, and its minaret is built of kövke stone. In 1881 its roof was demolished and the roof raised somewhat higher; in 1887 its minaret fell into ruin, and the mosque was repaired again in 1911.
